Our Registration

At Southern Africa Youth Project we are proud with our registration and compliance with the national and international regulations.

Non-Profit Organisation DSD

Southern Africa Youth Project is registered as a non-profit organisation. It is registered in terms of the non-profit Act 71 of 1997.

The organisation is managed by an independent board of advisors, trustees and members who oversees the operations of the organisation.

Tax Exemption with SARS

Southern Africa Youth Project is a registered tax-exempt institution with the Southern African Revenue Services.

Any donations made to Southern Africa Youth Project will be tax-exempt, donors will receive a Section 18A certificate and they will be able to claim a deduction with the Revenue Authority.

Income Tax Registration

Southern Africa Youth Project is registered for Income Tax with the South African Revenue Services.

The organisation still reports on an annual basis on its revenue. It is in good standing with South African Revenue Service. Any institution partnering with us must know they are trading with a legal and compliant entity.

COIDA Registered

Southern Africa Youth Project is registered with the Department of Labour Workmen’s Compensation for Injuries, Diseases that may happen for our employee during their work.

Southern Africa Youth Project takes into account the safety of its employees and clients who are part of this program. Therefore sufficient insurances and with the Compensation for Injuries have been taken into consideration.

United States DUNS

Southern Africa Youth Project is registered with the United States government DUNS to receive grants from the United States of America.

Any institution from the United States which would like us to be a sub-recipient or main recipient. Must know that that the organisation is registered and follow the legislation in terms of its international partnerships

European Union Registration

Southern Africa Youth Project is registered with the European Union PIC to receive grants from Europe Foundations and Institutions.

Level 1 BEE with the SA BEE Code.

Southern Africa Youth Project is a level 1 black empowered institution with 100% of its management are black. It is majority-owned by 50% women and the whole organisation is managed by the youth who are under 35 years old

Public Benefit Organisation

Southern Africa Youth Project is registered in terms of Section 18A of the Income Tax Act.

Southern Africa Youth Project annually reports to the revenue authority for its governance, spending and operations.

Non-Profit Company CIPC

Southern Africa Youth is registered as a company in the Republic of South Africa. Southern Africa Youth Project is registered in terms of Companies Act 71 of 2008.
